NBA PREDICTION - Miami's Big Three at Philly

Big Three Look To Extend Franchise-Record Streak At Philadelphia

When the big three of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh assembled in South Beach three years ago, it wasn’t about winning just one title for the city of Miami. It wasn’t about two either, or three, or four. Lebron and his teammates had
their eyes on building dynasty in the city, and the chance to dominate the NBA for at least the following five years. Fast-forward three years, and the Heat are the defending NBA champions, and the sports betting favorites to win again this year. Miami had put together a franchise-record and season-best 18-game win streak as of Sunday night, and with the big three healthy and playing at an elite level, they will be tough to slow down as they get set to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

The 76ers made a move to acquire a superstar of their own this past summer, but Andrew Bynum has spent the season on the bench and Philadelphia is on pace to miss the postseason once again. While the Heat have won 18-straight the 76ers have treaded in the opposite direction with five-straight losses, and it’s not about to get any easier.

The Miami Heat

The big three is finally playing together at full strength, and with a strong supporting cast that has been able to contribute and provide some secondary efficiency. Lebron James has played at an exceptional level once again this season while leading Miami in points, rebounds, assists, and steals, but another big difference has been the play of Wade this past month, as he has really come on strong after getting back to full strength. Chris Bosh has held things down on the inside as the third option, but the Heat are also much deeper with Ray Allen, Shane Battier, and Mario Chalmers to turn to, and have played outstanding basketball at both ends with a top-five offense and top-12 defense.

The Philadelphia 76ers

Things haven’t gotten bad enough in Philadelphia that fans are calling for an Allen Iverson comeback, but after trading Andre Iguodola in a deal to bring in Bynum, his absence has been missed all that much more. The 76ers rank 19th in the NBA in rebounding and just 29th in scoring, two areas where Bynum was expected to give them the biggest boost. Jrue Holiday has stepped up with a team-high 18.8 points per game to go with his 8.7 assists, but he simply hasn’t gotten enough help on a consistent basis, and there is no way he can do it on his own every night.

SPORTS ROOM PRECISION PREDICTION!!!

The US Poker Room numbers that the Heat have put up during their franchise-record win streak have been absolutely ridiculous, and it’s scary to think of what this team has in store for the playoffs. The way that Miami has played over the last month, it’s hard to imagine any team stopping them, never mind a group in Philadelphia that is on the outside looking in for the Eastern Conference standings.
